I used to LOVE collages when I was younger, still do

I recently found in an old box a bunch of 8×11 sheets of collages from like 10 years ago. It’s all graffiti, DJs & music paraphenalia I dug further and found a bunch of unglued clippings I created an extra 3 sheets and tied’em all together and created what you see below!!

What do you think? I’m not sure if the detail is apparent, I hope you can at least make out most of it

Hey all!

So everyone who’s been following me for awhile knows I’ve been going to this event for 12 years now (except for last year)… It’s a blast!! It’s an annual graffiti convention called Under Pressure which joins graffiti artists from around the country to paint up a storm in downtown Montreal

The convention isn’t only about art… it calls out to skaters, breakdancers & hip hoppers alike It’s my one chance a year to see some old friends, mostly from Ottawa. They threw up a few pieces again this year Good times.

Before we get to the picture I have to tell you this story.

This awesome guy, and graffiti artist from France, named Durban sends me a message one day on my blog, and tells me it’s the first time he’s seen it. HOWEVER, he had already heard of me and who I was because someone had created a fake FB account – one for Ariel, one for Mandy – and was talking to this guy for over 6 months back n forth from Mandy‘s fake profile. I told Mandy who immediately went to add them as a friend hahaha just for fun – and they deleted the account!!! Loser….

They claimed Mandy was a tattoo artist with a girlfriend – ME! So months go by, and one day this person with the fake account decides they don’t want me in the picture anymore LOL So instead of saying Mandy broke up with me or whatever, I apparently disappeared. Like a missing persons case type of deal… And later turned up DEAD!!!!! As in MURDERED!!

LMAO!!!

Durban was so touched by this story he painted a piece in my honour!!

When he found my blog he was happy to see I was a real person, very much alive, and much more sympathetic than he imagined. Mandy & I both got a chance to chat with him a bit He’s pretty awesome

I think it’s so sweet that you did this for me Durban, even tho it technically wasn’t me LOL

Not only was last weekend a great weekend in Montreal for graffiti, but there was also the PRIDE PARADE and Picnik Electronik!

Hey lovelies!

SO I finally have a moment to write about an event that I attend EVERY YEAR for the last 10 years believe it or not!! It’s called UNDER PRESSURE! I went with Ariel Rebel and Max Took soooo many silly pictures With graffiti, sk8ting, hip hop, breakdancing, and so much more – you can’t go wrong!!

Under Pressure is: 1. A graffiti magazine released twice a year (and totally worth your hard earned pennies!) 2. A Canadian graffiti convention that happens annually in Montreal, that embodies all elements of hip hop into one weekend of serious underground fun! This year was no exception. In my opinion this year was better than the last few years – which is awesome to see because this event is strictly funded on donations and fundraising through hip hop and other shows, organized by the Under Pressure peeps here in Montreal throughout the year. So it shows that the interest in the culture is not fading The crowd is getting younger every year, but that may just be me getting old hahaha Besides it’s great to see so many generations come out for this event
